There are two parcels: Les Rouges du Bas et Les Quartiers de Nuits, both with a deep soil consisting of gravel and silt.
Echezaux derives from the Latin word for "buildings," thus revealing the presence of gallo-roman ruins. Jeanne and André Mugneret acquired Les Quartiers de Nuits in 1930, and added Les Rouges du Bas in 1934.
From five to twenty years. It is one of three grand crus that will be appreciated the most rapidly.
