The non-existent spring of 2013 will long be remembered.
In fact winter dwelt over our hillsides, as in the major parts of France, till early June. Our area was hit by some night frost during the third week of May and the big propeller located in our Vosne-Romanée plot still had to be used for a few nights to protect "Le pré de la Folie" against the frost. The fanning movement circulates a warmer air flow to ensure that the buds situated in the coldest parts are not hit by the frost.
