"Chaignots" comes from the word Chasne, old French for chêne (oak), meaning that there were originally oak trees in this area. Georges Mugneret purchased the parcel in 1971.
The generosity of this wine allows it to be appreciated when young, but also offers the potential of keeping it for between five and ten years after bottling. Serve with: grilled meats and cheeses -- never with cream sauces.
Classic ruby color This generous and smooth Nuits has accents of Vosne, and a greed-inducing nose and palate – a true delicacy, with undertones of rich black fruits and ripe tannins.
